Do you know the feeling of having been on the road for too long and you are just not arriving? One goal is chasing the next one?
In the last few years, I have noticed as soon as I reached a goal that l’m already chasing the next one. Once a milestone has been reached, my head is already thinking of the next ambition I want to achieve. There is generally nothing wrong about this but how about staying for a while in this exact moment. Just being, enjoying and feeling you have arrived before you chase after your new dreams?
One quickly forgets to recognize the individual milestones, to celebrate, to pause for a moment and to enjoy it. Isn’t it more important to be proud of what we achieved und to acknowledge this, before we jump to the next ambition?
I learned that I hit pause first, be proud of what I have done, be aware of the moment, celebrate and be proud of myself. Since then, I ‘m more present and more relaxed. I feel more balanced and less stressed or chased in my head. I also take the time to reflect on the achievements and think about needed adjustments for my new ambition. I’m more creative and fuller of energy for the next steps after this awareness break.
What is your experience? Do you pause and try to make yourself aware of those situations or do you immediately move on to the next goal? How do you feel with this situation?
I’m looking forward to hearing about your thoughts and experiences. I’m also happy to support you with integrating these awareness breaks in your routine. Let`s look at it together.
Let’s Move!
